Symptoms of A Failing Heart

Hear Me Roar!

seNGET crossed his heart at 1:06 AM
just today, i was still sleeping so comfortably before my mom called to wake me up at 12pm to ask if i wanted to catch a movie. my brother didn't join us so i took a bus to tampines mall alone to find my parents. my parents were at singtel to help a friend buy a handphone when i met up with them.

so we caught the movie, "the hills have eyes(m18)" at 2.15pm. it sure was one bloody, frightening and gruesome movie, yet it's a great interesting show. i had my eyes glued to the screen eversince the film started rolling because it was just so intense, you can hardly catch your breath. i swear it's worth every single penny.

after the show, it was lunch at 'viet-thai'. the first time i ever dined there and i should say the food was pretty good though. then my parents went back home while i went to meet mond, wenyan, tian nee and peggie. we walked for a short time before proceeding to century square to help my mom get her sour plums.

wenyan still haven't ate at that time so we accompanied her to eat at 'new york pizza'. well, i got my share of food as well over there too. i simply love the pepperoni, cheese and stuffs.

it was gonna be 7.30pm soon which they've been waiting to catch the finals of campus superstars at ben's place. so they left first while i when to meet keong and felki as they were going to change their faulty pirated pc game at 505.

ben's place was next as soon as we're done with buying food at 7-11. anyway, i was really sleepy watching the whole superstar thing cause the genre wasn't even close to what i listen. to my agony, it finally finished at 11pm when they left for 844 for dinner and home for me.

pretty much now i'm done reading the fhm magazine i just bought and i'm bored. gonna turn in soon but before that, i'm gonna share the 2 eventful day that happened the last few days.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

firstly, last friday, i was at wild wild wet together with keong, ben, albert, zhenfai, terter, black, wenyan and felki. we had vouchers with us, therefore it only cost us $4 each. cheap bargain. before that, lunch at century square's 'long john silver' with ah ni first.

wild wild wet sure was fun, fun, fun and more fun! except that it could have been better if the area is more huge. cause there's only a limited variety of rides/thrills they have and they're always crowded. rain and lightning almost spoiled our day but luckily it only last for a mere 40 minutes. a vast amount of chicks as well. hahaha.

we spent like almost 5 hours over there. i can't possibly describe the fun we had there. so you have to go there personally to go through what we've been through. but if we have the time and money, i would rather the whole rowdees to go to malaysia's sunway lagoon to play. i'm sure it would be more enjoyable there, or if only fantasy island still exists.

back to tampines for dinner at pavilion's kfc. home sweet home to sleep was next.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

secondly, last thursday, it was trip to pulau ubin with qingan, keong, black, hockang, weitong, wenyan, felki and sharon. we met up as early as 9am to take a cab to changi village for breakfast. then it was to the jetty to board on the bum boat which cost $2 each.

the night before, keong, felki and me even stayed over at wenyan's house to prepare ourselves for the trip and had macdonald's for supper with weitong. we slept so late and yet we still felt so energetic about the trip. i guess we were all too excited for our adventure.

for the trip, rented a mountain bike each, took some maps (luckily some of us can read) and finally we're out to our very own adventure at pulau ubin! i can't remember well but i think it's the first time i've been there. the technology there sure is old school and i can never imagine myself living there.

in total, we cycled almost half of the island, avoiding clashes with cars, other cyclists and mosquitos as much as possible (thanks to felki's insect repellent). past through rough rocky path/terrains, spider webs, dangerous slopes and even watery roads. explored the quarry, thai temple, orchid garden, beaches and some other places you don't normally see in the city. also, we spotted a rare species of bird, long green snake and cute doggies. sadly, we didn't get to find the wildpig we've been anticipated. haha.

at the end of the day, weitong, with the help of others, caught alot of mini crabs at the shore before we finally board the bum boat back to changi. luckily, it only started to rain after we left. and we were all so tired after that, therefore we postponed our dinner to after we get back home to rest. but i was so weak that i didn't meet them up like we promised.

overall, we spent alot of money just on the drinks alone cause the weather was so fucking hot at first and we got so thirsty just by cycling around. seriously, i don't mind going there again next time.

by the way, these 2 fruitful trips actually remind me of these lyrics from a song.

"been grown up isn't half as fun as growing up.
these are the best days of our life."

ok below are the photos we snapped during our trip at pulau ubin. enjoy! cause i do.

hello pulau ubin!
