Moodless and Needles

seNGET crossed his heart at 12:49 AM
just last wednesday, i had the fright of my life! it has NEVER happened to me my entire life before and on that day, it did. it's the first time i ever experience something that's so strange or extraordinary, maybe?

it was during 4am when i just finished my previous long post and was about to go to sleep. merely 5 minutes after i closed my eyes, i suddenly hear a loud BANG from my window! it's as if someone punched his fist on it. well, i think it is from my window because my bed was just right beside it and i could hear it really loud and clear. i'm sure it's from there.

i immediately opened my eyes and can almost feel my soul coming out. it's really that sudden and i was super SHOCK and scare, of course!

mind you, i'm living on the 8th floor and there's no way someone could be there. at first, i thought it was from inside the room but i had my curtain closed shut and metal grill on the inside. so the sound must have came from outside.

after thinking some possibilites like maybe a bird accidently flew and knocked on it, but i could have hear the wings flapping too and it could never make such a loud bang unless its flying at super speed. plus, which bird would fly so late in the night and so dumb enough to knock peoples' window. right?

or maybe i was dreaming when it happened, but i'm 100% sure the feeling and sound was felt so real and no way i could have mistaken it from a dream or reality.

i even thought maybe someone commited suicide but he or she couldn't possibly knock onto my windows either. the news doesn't even show it the next day.

hmm... i still couldn't find a proper explaination to it. it's so WEIRD. i still can't believe this thing actually happened. it's like so super natural.

anyway, at that time, i was so terrified that i didn't even dared to draw open my curtains and window to check it out. i quickly close my eyes, cover myself with blanket and try to fall asleep. thank god it didn't happen again, or else i would have run as fast as i can out of my room.

the very next day, i finally had the courage to see what was actually happened. to my curiousity, nothing strange was on my window. i find no trace of anything, not even a single evidence of the incident.

luckily, that incident didn't happen throughout the next few nights. it still makes me nervous when i am going to bed nowadays.

alright, enough of this spooky shit, it'll just make my hair stand.

ok last wednesday morning, i was out to CMPB (Central ManPower Base) for my NS medical checkup together with keong, weitong, ben, khiaseng and melvin. we had breakfast at macdonald before taking a train to redhill first and then took a cab there.

our appointment was supposed to be at 9.30am but we reached there only at 10.30am. luckily they don't really care much about the time as long as we're there. luckily there wasn't much people there either.

in total, there were 7 stations we need to complete.

first stop, hearing test.
all of us didn't have a problem for it, but i swear we are look like clowns. we have to go in a small silent room and put on the headphone. then we have to raise up either our left or right hand everytime we hear something, depending on which side the sound came from. the sound kept appearing and disappearing so fast and i really had no idea whether to raise up and down or keep holding my hand up. in the end, for more accuracy, we all just keep raising up and down and thats how we all end up like clowns. imagine that.

second stop, eye-sight test.
this time round, most of us passed the color blind test except for keong, who has a mild color blind. he read the colored number so terribly i tell you. not even close. hahaha. for the normal eye test, most of us has quite a problem reading the letters from afar, but the person incharge doesn't seems to even bother at all and they just let us pass. and to all our surprise, ben even got a "A" grade for it. even for his cock/crooked eye, there's seems nothing wrong with it. haha.

third stop, torso x-ray.
nothing much though. just that we have to strip till we're topless, bend our arms and place our chest and shoulders touching the machine to x-ray. it was a fast one.

fourth stop, urine and blood test.
we have to take a small strip from the counter and go to the toilet to pee on it. however, it's really funny cause it's the first time i have to "aim" at something and i just kept laughing while peeing, together with melvin. haha. nothing was adnormal when we show the strip to the person-in-charge. so, we continued on to the blood test. the process was as fast as lightning and it doesn't hurt much as usual. just the same mini pain we had when we took our blood test during making our identity card.

fifth stop, dental check.
the dentist checked each of our set of teeth to make sure everything was good and healthy. only weitong and keong who end up going into another room to x-ray their teeth. i wonder why the rest of us didn't.

sixth stop, full body check.
we got to strip topless again to check our heartbeat rate, height and weight, then our blood pressure. after that, we queued up for the individual body check. as there was quite a crowd, we waited for some time before it was finally our turn. inside the room, we need to declare about whether there was anything wrong with us or something (for example, gay or undergo major operation before). i was totally fine and fit so it was a quick one. just that we have to bend down and touch our toe (i couldn't do it though) and then strip down entirely and cough real hard as they were checking out our **** (that was the most embrassing one).

seventh stop, IQ test?
we have to sit down for around 1hr 30mins at the computer to complete a set of 100 plus questions. it took a lot of our time there and the most fed up station. it was pretty lame to answer those stupid questions which consists of maths, physics and common sense questions. unlike some others, i try to answer the questions as correctly as i could.

and thats it! it took us about 5 hours to complete our medical checkup. in the end, weitong, khiaseng and me got Pes A, keong got Pes B while melvin and ben got Pes D which means pending still. they'll know which Pes they will go soon enough.

nowadays, the chinese new year spirit seems to slowly fades away. hai... it just flies so fast and i can't feel it anymore. rowdees last stop of house visiting was at alex's house only for steamboat last saturday. after that, it was gaming of "battlefield 2" and "swat 4" while some play pool at katong's mechmaster. we've been going there quite often now cause we're all addicted to the game. and that explains how busy i am to update my blog.

anyway, no more red packet! i've even spent most of the cash already. no more holiday mood already! 6 more weeks of school without anymore holidays! but i can't wait to finish all my stressful projects and graduate. then maybe NS or poly after that. i simply can't decide which.
